Tuscaloosa Milk Bottles

I collect old milk bottles from Tuscaloosa dairies. Here's part of my stash. There are several sizes and different designs from different time periods, but most are from Delview Dairy or Perry Creamery. My grandfather had dairy cows (way before my time) and sold raw milk to Perry Creamery. Below are some larger bottles, including one that advertises war bonds.

Neat! That's a collection you don't see everyday.

It's great that you have a personal connection to your collection. That's quite a wide variety of bottle types.

I found a couple of these old bottles in the dirt in a new housing development site a few years ago and became excited about collecting them. I was astounded by what a pretty penny they cost at antique stores. My collection didn't get too big needless to say. Love yours though.

I never heard of people collecting milk bottles before, but I can see these are more interesting than most.

Thanks for your comments!
I forgot to mention in the post that my mom's first job in Tuscaloosa was at Delview Dairy. I suppose that, my Grandfather's dairy cows, and my love for my hometown all came together to start an unusual collection.

I used to have an antique milk bottle from Lawson Dairy Farms that we would fill with spare change. On a recent trip to the bank, the teller let her drop and it shattered into a million pieces. It was truly a sad moment.

My husband found three delview dairy bottles, 2 small and 1 qt. Labels not in good condition. How could we find their value.

Not sure how to value your bottles.
I've paid as little as $5.00 and as much as $25.00. But I've seen some that went for well over that. The one with National Defense Bonds advertising I've seen for $50.
