Queen City Pool Bathouse
Featured on the National Register of Historic Places, built in 1943.
"Designed by architect Don Buel Schuler a student of Frank Lloyd Wright and built with WPA money, the pool was one of the finest in the state. The poured concrete bathhouse features a unique design of intersecting circles and arcs. The wading pool contains a delightful art deco fountain. Closed since the 1980s, the City of Tuscaloosa is developing plans for its restoration."Historic Tuscaloosa
In 2005, the plan was to reopen the building as a transportation museum. I'm not sure where the City is with its plan. The bathouse still sits vacant, boarded up, and the pool filled in with dirt. Tomorrow, I'll show you the fountain.

Very interesting shape! Looking forward to seeing the fountain :)
Very interesting! I never knew about this cool pool.
How sad that it's closed up and the pool filled. I hope the city figures something out!
Very interesting. The WPA works were many and varied. Hopefully, this can be restored and put to good use.
What a striking building. And how sad that the restoration plans aren't going well. Rather forlorn!
When I was a kid I remember visiting a similar (poured concrete) bathhouse at a pool in Brazil, Indiana. I don't think that bathhouse still exists; I hope this one will survive.
