Art Deco Fountain

As promised yesterday, here's the art deco style fountain that was part of the kiddie pool at the historic Queen City Pool in Tuscaloosa.

Yes, very art deco. I hope it gets restored soon along with the rest of the pool and bath house. Too precious to lose.

Don't forget to vote for the April theme! We get two choices this time, thanks to Elaine. Please help spread the word too.

Very neat. DO you think it still works?

Thank you for these photos. I used to swim at Queen City Pool when I was a child in the 50s. This art deco fountain impressed me even when I was very young. The color is gone now, but back in the day the fountain and bathhouse were a sort of pinkish/coral color. I'm glad to know that it's still there and that the city values it and the bath house enough to save it and restore it! Thank you again for taking these pictures and sharing them!
