Here's one of our water towers. Note that "Roll Tide" is more important than the name of the city! "Roll Tide" is the rally crying and cheer for the University of Alabama, located in Tuscaloosa. The football team was once referred to as the "Crimson Tide." That name stuck and now describes all things UA. Football in Alabama is akin to religion, and Roll Tide is the prayer.

Roll Tide Roll!
ROTFLOL
In Florence, KY, there is a water tower in front of the Florence Mall. When they first built the mall, the water tower read, "FLORENCE MALL." City officials decided that the water tower could not advertise a non-city related business, so the tower has long read,"FLORENCE Y'ALL." Originally, they just wiped out the vertical lines on the "M" so they wouldn't have to repaint it. :-)
