Downtown Tuscaloosa

This is University Blvd. facing west. I liked the old painted brick sign on the building. I took this during the summer, so the tree is blocking the rest of the sign. If you click to enlarge, you can also see the Oak City Barber. Several businesses in town use "Oak City" in their names. Tuscaloosa has been referred to as Oak City and Druid City.

Great photo: look's like a nice downtown. I'm assuming Live Oaks, or Laurel Oaks, ... or is it another?

Live oaks, water oaks (red oaks), and white oaks.
There are probably others. I love them ALL!
Thanks for your visit today.

So glad downtown made a comeback since the malls and shopping centers moved in.

It looks as if those buildings have been there for awhile. It's good to see so many cars parked along a downtown street.
