Ghost Sign

Another ghost sign in downtown Northport. Also, note the blue shirt in the right hand side of the picture. He's an employee of the City of Northport who waters all the planters every morning.
If you click to enlarge, you can see the string of little yellow bulbs above the awning out front. They've been there for many years to add a special glow at night.

I bet those flowers need the water with all the heat we've been getting!

In The Villages they paint on those old signs so you think their new buildings are old buildings...

It's a Disneyland for adult. This is real and I love it.

Like the idea of the lights, too.

Halcyon - in Tuscaloosa today, the heat index was 110...just miserable and unbearable unless you're in a pool!
Jacob - I actually like the idea of making new things look old. I'm hoping our downtown revitalization in Tuscaloosa is in keeping with the age of the city.
